Delete your CaminoGO account

You can delete your CaminoGO account and the associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1: In the app

Open CaminoGO and sign in.
Go to Settings → Delete account.
Confirm. Deletion starts immediately.

Option 2: By email

If you cannot use the app, email us from the address you use to sign in, or include that address in your message. You do not need to reinstall the app. We may ask you to confirm the request to protect your account, and we complete it without undue delay, normally within one month.

This opens your email app with a prepared request. Review it and press send.

What is deleted

Your profile, display name and avatar.
Trips, walking records, GPS tracks and private diaries.
Direct messages, friendships and map messages.
The content of your forum topics and comments, including titles, text, images, locations and poll options. A “deleted” placeholder remains so other people’s replies stay readable.
The text of your reviews. Camino Guide usage counters and uploaded diagnostic reports.
When you delete in the app: Camino AI history and walking recovery data stored on your phone.

What may be kept

Purchase and point-transaction records, for accounting, refunds, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
Numeric star ratings, which keep counting towards averages without your review text.
Other public contributions such as town bulletins, events, and place or accommodation information and photos, which may remain attributed to a deleted user. Email us to request their removal.
Limited security and moderation records, and a deleted-account record with an internal ID that links to the records above.
Copies in our encrypted database backups, which are deleted automatically within 45 days.

Retained records are kept only for these purposes and for as long as they require. Sign-in and image-storage cleanup can finish shortly after deletion and is retried if it fails. Details are in sections 7 and 8 of our privacy policy. Privacy Policy

Trip Passes and points

Trip Passes and points are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, so there is nothing to cancel with Apple or Google. Remaining pass time and points cannot be used after deletion. See section 13 of our terms of service.
